Internship Dates : June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026
Work hours : 7 am - 4 pm (Varies based on projects)
Housing : Butler-Cohen does not provide housing for interns at this time.
What You’ll Do
As an Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple phases of project execution. You’ll work closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to support real-world construction activities.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination
- Participate in on-site inspections and safety walkthroughs
- Help prepare estimates, bid packages, and change orders
- Support documentation efforts, including progress reports and RFIs
- Shadow field teams and learn construction logistics and safety protocols
- Research materials, methods, and regulations
- Collaborate with teams to solve problems and improve processes
Qualifications
Pursuing a degree in Construction Science, Management, Engineering, or related programStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Willingness to work on-site and get hands-on experienceMust be curious and eager to learnFamiliarity with construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) – Preferred, not requiredOSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus - Preferred, not requiredWorking Conditions
May require extensive travel by vehicle.Significant work at construction job sites, during all stages, in all types of weather conditions.Must be able to perform activities requiring the use of arms and legs, including climbing ladders / scaffolding, lifting & handling materials, walking & balancing, and stooping.Must be able to speak & hear detailed information through oral communication.Must be able to see clearly and recognize small details.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on computers.Work is performed in an active construction site.Why Butler-Cohen?
