About The Position

Description :

Unit requires prescreening and an auto offer as long as the RTO is less than 7 days and no holiday requests are made.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care.

If traveling as a duo, candidates must have their own vehicles and will not have the same schedule.

Clinicians must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract.

If a clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be DNU for 6 months.

There is a 50-mile radius rule for candidates.

Candidates may not have worked full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated within the past year.

The unit has a bed capacity of 12 with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 2 or 1 : 1 based on acuity.

Candidates are required to titrate drips, including Dex, Propofol, Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Epinephrine, Levophed, Insulin, and Cardene.

There are no nurse aides on this unit, and Registered Nurses are responsible for reading strips.

Intensivists are in-house 24 / 7, and Respiratory Therapy is available 24 / 7.

Available equipment includes vents, BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and HiFlow.

Telemetry monitoring is done in-room only.

Shifts include two weekend shifts per pay period, which can vary based on the needs of the unit.

Floating may be required based on department skill needs.

All shifts are in navy blue scrubs.

Specific orientation for the unit / department is provided.

Experience with Impella and Cerner is desired.

A call or standby requirement is included as per contract.

The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

Charting will be done using a specified system.

No BSN requirement for this position.

This is an acute care setting.

Candidates should be prepared to work all necessary shifts.
