Raba Kistner is seeking a detailed-oriented, dependable Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager to join our Consultants team in the McAllen, TX area. The Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager will serve as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, will be the manager of the McAllen geotechnical engineering service department, and be the senior “seller-doer” for this service line in the McAllen region. The Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager’s responsibilities encompass all the activities required to grow and effectively conduct Raba Kistner, Inc. (RKI) geotechnical engineering business in the McAllen region. These responsibilities include developing new and enhancing existing relationships with clients and influencers, building and managing an effective Geotechnical Engineering Team, preparing scopes of work and proposals, developing project plans, conducting and overseeing the McAllen region’s geotechnical engineering services and acting as the project manager for geotechnical projects performed by the office. The Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager will have the profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities for the geotechnical business in the McAllen region. Other Responsibilities include:

Must have experience with:
Good oral and written communications skills and ability to work in teams at different levels within the organization. Intermediate to advance in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Management skills to supervise project teams as well as monitor and evaluate progress of projects.
