Position Overview

The Inventory Control Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate inventory management at MSI Defense Solutions. They are responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, and implementing procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize discrepancies. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in inventory management software.

The Inventory Control Clerk will report to the Logistics Manager. This position requires a full-time work week spent in the shop in Mooresville, NC. Based on business needs, the work schedule may follow either a compressed schedule (Monday through Thursday, 7 : 00am–4 : 30pm, and Friday, 7 : 00am–12 : 00pm), or a 4 / 10 schedule (Monday through Thursday, 6 : 00am–4 : 30pm). Flexibility to work additional hours as required to meet project deadlines is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving incoming inventory.
• Pulling components for new orders from Sales Order Picking Lists accurately and on time.
• Delivery of parts onto the Production Floor.
• Utilize inventory management software to track stock movement, inventory levels, and discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
• Other tasks as directed by the Logistics Manager.
• Cross training with shipping and receiving for purposes of coverage in the event of absence or attrition.
• This position will report directly to the Logistics Manager.
