Senior Living Senior Consultant
The Senior Living Senior Consultant is responsible for helping clients with core accounting and financial needs, providing them with key reporting and insights as to how the business is performing financially. They facilitate client conversations, working closely with the facility's senior executives and clinical teams to help build financial models and projections. Senior Consultants are heavily involved in new and existing client business development and community involvement activities. They provide exceptional client service as a trusted business advisor.
This position is ideally suited for candidates located in the Mid-Atlantic region, as it requires 25%-30% travel. Travel may include visits to the following states : Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise business consulting engagements and special assignments related to senior living
- Provide financial management advisory services to clients including AP, AR, month-end close, system implementations / enhancements and recommendations
- Strategic planning integrating various departments and reimbursement systems (Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care)
- Help client proactively shape and implement operations improvement initiatives across their financial services
- Provide cash flow analysis and transaction advisory support for various clients
- Provide due diligence and adequate valuation report including assets, liabilities, capital structure, earnings, historical performance and forecasting
- Utilize various data collection techniques and select appropriate method to fit project objectives and deliverables
- Analyze, report and present key client data to make necessary operational and financial efficiency recommendations, documenting conclusions
- Leverage subject matter expertise and prior consulting experience to deliver client transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with leader to identify opportunities for efficiencies and proactive engagement management
- Maintain positive and effective client working relationships, ensuring satisfaction and becoming a trusted business advisor
- Ensure client deliverables are met within expectations and set deadlines
- Supervise Consultants and Interns on engagements and provide guidance on an ongoing basis; actively communicate with engagement Partners
- Lead business development initiatives, client discovery calls and proposal creation, including deliverables, work plans, and allocated budgets
- Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; CPA licensure preferred; HIPAA certification a plus7+ years' experience in consulting field with understanding of core financial accounting principles and operational processes within the senior living industryDemonstrated ability to take the lead on client engagements and develop new and existing businessWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products, strong analytical knowledge in Excel and other analytical / data modeling software a plusAbility to demonstrate creative problem solving skills and intellectually curious / motivated to develop professionally through continuous learningExcellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects within restricted timelinesEssential Functions
