Job Title : Treasury Management Associate
FLSA : Non-Exempt
Function : Commercial Banking
Reports To : Commercial Market Manager
Purpose : The Treasury Management Associate's primary responsibility will be to assist with the retail growth of profitable commercial depository, treasury management and merchant relationships. This will be achieved by taking a lead role in creating, editing, implementing, monitoring, and partnering with branch management and staff to engage in Business-to-Business development. This role will take the lead in growing products such as, but not limited to, the following : ACH, Online Banking and Wire Transfer, Remote Deposit Capture, Business Deposit Accounts, Credit Cards, HSAs, Positive Pay, and Merchant Services (treasury management products).
Responsibilities :
- Actively participate in community events and with applicable organizations to increase the credit union's visibility and to enhance new business development opportunities for the credit union
- Understand credit risk and properly evaluate and disclose risk in a relationship
- Resolve member inquiries
- Ensure the protection of the credit union's interests in matters such as adequate documentation and adherence to internal and regulatory procedures and policies

- Recommend and develop internal processes and procedure improvements as needed to enhance the safety and soundness of the credit union
- Actively participate in departmental and organization meetings and strategic planning discussions as applicable
- Participate as needed in the state, federal, and SBA regulatory examinations
- Keep up to date on any new regulations, procedures, or guidelines
- Effectively educate branch management and staff on an ongoing basis for Commercial specific products
- Partner with branch managers and branch sales staff to develop new loan opportunities, business relationships, and cross-selling opportunities, along with supporting the achievement of retail banking and consumer lending goals and objectives
- Drives relationship management by identifying cross-sell opportunities and introducing our Product partners to help provide a full banking proposition
- Expected to do joint calling and prospecting with product partners depending on the situation
- Promote and maintain a confidential environment to protect members, employees, and credit union information
- Consults with members regarding financial needs, recommend products / solutions, and financial services to meet those needs
- Willingness to set and ability to achieve department goals based on Strategic Business Plan
- Follow all credit union policies, procedures and requirements including, but not limited to, those regarding the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations
- Create and promote a positive professional image of one's self and the credit union
- Exemplify the credit union's vision, core values, and service promise

Requirements
Education and Experience :
A bachelor's degree or equivalent college degree in a business-related field strongly preferredMinimum two years in retail operations in the financial services industrySales & Service experience is a plusCommercial deposit and treasury management experience strongly preferredDemonstrated high performance in goal attainmentDemonstrated involvement in the communityProficient with Microsoft Programs such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointStrong understanding of accounting / financing principals experience desiredHistory of sound decision making in the best interest of both customers and institutionSkills, Abilities, and other Requirements :
