BUS DRIVER

City Of Amarillo Bus Driver

Pay Range : $15.00- $18.00 per hour depending on license status.

Hours / Days : Will work 6 : 00 am to 7 : 00 pm Monday-Saturday. Days off during the week will vary. Must report to work on time, report all absences according to policy, and have no unexcused absences.

The Bus Driver / Van Operator will perform a variety of tasks which include :

• Driving a vehicle, following all traffic laws, in a manner that will prevent any chargeable accidents, incidents, or passenger injuries.
• Safely operating a vehicle in all types of weather and road conditions
• Issuing day passes for passengers and tracking passenger counts and types.
• Completing daily pre / post-trip vehicle inspections
• Reporting all vehicle or equipment defects to the appropriate person promptly.
• Providing limited assistance to persons with disabilities
