Job descriptionProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and / or potential disturbances. Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions to appropriate personnel and / or law enforcement, following established protocols. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and patients. Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying identification as required by site-specific procedures. Must be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred. Experience with access control systems and / or badge procedures is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
