Job descriptionBuild rapport with program clients and engage with them professionally and respectfully. When necessary, de-escalate tense, even hostile, client situations. Ensure the safety, security and integrity of all residents and guests, as well as the physical environment of the facility. Conduct periodic facility walk-throughs. Always provide excellent customer service and confidentiality. Distribute meals to program clients and help unpack and properly store meals that are delivered to site. Perform light custodial work consisting of cleaning tables, chairs, minor spills, and removal of trash. Communicate with the clinical staff on resident behavior as well as the care of those on the fragile list. Always enforce the Residential Code of Conduct and / or House Rules. Enthusiastically participate in advocacy and direct actions to end the twin crises of homelessness and HIV / AIDS. Willingness to work occasional overtime and offer flexibility regarding scheduling work time. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is strongly preferred. Ability to work with the homeless migrant population. Dependable and flexible, with exemplary time management skills. Able to maintain a high level of client confidentiality. Excellent internal and external customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills. Good communication skills both verbally and written including the ability to communicate with all levels of management. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to work under pressure. Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to assert oneself. Ability to work with colleagues to solve problems. The Residential Aide position is one which requires the staff person to be present in the program site 100% of the time.
Description
Compensation Range : $17 / hr - $19 / hr commensurate with experience.

Overview
The Residential Aide (RA) ensures the wellbeing and safety of the program’s clients and staff during their shifts. The RA provides crisis intervention as needed to maintain residential safety and security.
The RA works in shifts of 8am to 4pm, 4pm to 12am, 12am-8am. An RA may also work 12am-12pm, or 12 : 00pm-12 : 00am. The schedule operates 7 days a week, and all holidays as needed

- The RA makes sure that program’s policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to by program clients.
