The Adjunct Faculty member supervises students in clinical settings

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities : MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

What you will be doing

Prepares course schedule
Evaluates and advises students
Prepares exams
Prepares syllabus
Monitors class roster
Maintains schedule that allows for student meetings
Schedules laboratory sessions for skills component of course
Teaches in lecture and laboratory settings; blended and virtual environments
Disseminates information and recruits students for service-learning initiatives
Assesses student performance in the clinical setting
Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed

Master’s degree in any field and Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene; and Valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene licensure; and 3 years of full-time work and / or instructional experience in field, or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene; or Bachelor's degree in any field and Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited program; and Valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene licensure; and three (3) years of full-time work and / or instructional experience

All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution

Possess excellent and effective communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community

Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments

Ability to work in a multi-ethnic / multi-cultural environment
