Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Cath Lab Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 01 / 05 / 2026 Duration : 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of recent cardiac catheterization lab experience and current ACLS and BLS certifications. Responsibilities Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab within a large teaching hospital Perform procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement / removal, left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, PA line insertion, temporary pacemaker, and use of vascular closure systems Adult patient population in a Level III Trauma Center and Magnet facility Shifts are 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM, four days per week On-call required approximately one weekday per week and every 4th to 5th weekend, with occasional Sunday call Float may be required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed Uses Excellian / Epic EMR system; EMR experience required Unit-provided scrubs Daily responsibilities include accurate monitoring, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, maintaining sterile field, equipment setup, procedure prep, and room circulation Modules and training are required pre-start and will be documented by transcript Pre-employment fingerprinting is required as per Minnesota state regulations Maximum of 5 days requested time off is preferred for contract period Return policy states no rehire within 3 months of previous permanent employment All team members must be willing to float within hospital or to affiliate sites as needed Travelers are eligible even if this is their first assignment, provided they meet experience requirements Requirements Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab Proficiency with key cath lab procedures and equipment including scrubbing, monitoring, hemodynamic monitoring, EKG lead placement, IABP, temporary pacemakers, and vascular closure systems Experience with Epic / Excellian EMR is required License required if applicable; pending MN license may be accepted At least one supervisor reference required for consideration Travelers who previously worked as staff / per diem must be gone at least 3 months from their last shift Local candidates accepted for radiology positions; no radius restriction for these roles Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629971.
