Position : Manager - Consumer Products Assurance

RSM is seeking a Manager to join our Consumer Products Assurance team. This role involves working on diverse client engagements within our national and local Consumer Products practice. Our clients include manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and retailers, both local and international, across various sectors. RSM's assurance professionals have long helped consumer-focused companies improve performance through challenging business cycles.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide high-quality client service, including coordinating audits of financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Assess risk and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams.
  • Understand and utilize RSM's Audit Methodology.
  • Manage multiple engagement teams and evaluate staff performance.
  • Monitor and review work of Senior Associates and Supervisors, providing coaching as needed.
  • Supervise fieldwork and ensure adherence to schedules and productivity goals.
  • Maintain client contact throughout the year to understand significant developments.
  • Contribute to the development of others through training and advising.
  • Stay informed on industry publications and share relevant information with clients.
  • Address client concerns proactively and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion within client organizations.
  • Manage project profitability.
  • Communicate accounting and auditing issues to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Stay updated on GAAP and firm standards.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time, depending on client needs.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • BS / BA in Accounting or equivalent.
  • CPA or CA certification.
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in public accounting.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring staff.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, or IFRS regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop profitable client relationships.
  • Minimum of 4 years in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing multiple engagements.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience directing staff on multiple simultaneous engagements.
  • Fluency in French, German, Japanese, or Mandarin, including cultural and business understanding.
  • Experience managing relationships with large non-US companies operating in North America.

    Salary range : $86,500 - $163,900, with potential for discretionary bonuses based on performance.
