Role Title : Environmental Compliance Project Manager

Duration : 12 months contract with possible extension

Work Location : Remond, WA - Reno, NV and Columbus OH

Pay Rate : $65 / hr to $95 on W2

Typical task breakdown and rhythm- Environmental compliance that includes field inspection oversight of Environmental Consultants, review of report development and delivery and team cross coordination prior to, during, and after construction phases of the project life cycle, including support during transfer to Operations Environmental Compliance. Job requires strong knowledge in environmental regulations related to Clean Water Act sections 402, 401, and 404.

Top 3 skills :

• 5+ years of environmental permitting or compliance and approvals experience in America, including management of environmental impact assessments, acquisition of permits, and cultural and ecological surveys and approvals.
• 5+ years of program and project management experience in America, including permit timeline development, cross coordination amongst disciplines, contracting and leading consultant teams, driving deliverables to the business, etc.
• Experience with mission critical facilities or large-scale construction projects.

Best vs. average : Experience in construction and operational environmental compliance and experience working through environmental permitting and compliance in multiple markets.

The Cloud Infrastructure Environmental Compliance team is responsible for environmental permit compliance related to construction of Data Centers (DCs). The Environmental Compliance Manager will manage environmental permit implementation and compliance during construction until turnover to operations, manage consultants supporting site inspections, cooperate with internal / external business partners to achieve compliance goals, develop and submit required AHJ reports / inspections, will work with the General Contractor and Microsoft to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, ordinances, guidelines, standards, and permit requirements (Environmental Requirements) and serve as Microsoft environmental representation to external stakeholders. This role requires regular engagement with key Microsoft stakeholders, including Compliance, Permitting, Legal, Design, Construction, and Operations teams, regulatory agencies, and outside consultants and contractors. The region for this role is for AMER West, including, but not limited to, Washington, California, Nevada, Wyoming, Texas, Iowa and Arizona.

The Environmental Compliance Manager is part of a larger environmental team composed of environmental permitting and compliance managers that supports the on-time delivery and execution of data center while ensuring compliance with all environmental approvals. Specific responsibilities will include :
