Position Summary :
A CDMO in Holly Springs is seeking skilled Process Maintenance Mechanics (Level II and III) to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals with GMP experience. The position is evenly split between corrective maintenance and proactive equipment upkeep through Elastomer Change Outs (ECOs).
Key Responsibilities :
Corrective Maintenance (50%)
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues such as leaking valves, ruptured diaphragms, and other process equipment failures.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on pumps, valves, piping systems, and instrumentation.
- Document all corrective actions in compliance with GMP and site protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Elastomer Change Outs (ECOs) (50%)
Conduct scheduled ECOs, replacing static and dynamic seals in pharmaceutical production systems.Replace soft parts including gaskets, diaphragms (especially weir-style), O-rings, bottom outlet valves, hoses, and single-use components.Ensure ECO procedures are executed with precision to maintain sterility and regulatory compliance.Maintain detailed records of ECO activities and support continuous improvement efforts.Qualifications : Mechanic II
3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a GMP-regulated environment.Technical training or military experience (Navy nuclear program highly preferred).Ability to work independently and follow SOPs and technical documentation.Mechanic III
5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech maintenance roles.Advanced troubleshooting skills and leadership capabilities.Experience mentoring junior mechanics and supporting complex maintenance projects.
