Materials Manager
The core function of the Materials Manager is to plan and control the work in process to the finished product. An effective Materials Manager ensures that available goods can satisfy customer demand, minimizes waste, manages inventory levels, and keeps output in line with the company's balance sheet.
Responsibilities
- Plan material requirements, production schedules, and capacity requirements.
- Measure operational performance against the plan.
- Receive and distribute products efficiently.
- Develop or maintain reports, analytics, and metrics.
- Align demand with sourcing activities.
- Define and execute physical inventory and / or cycle count policy.
- Align inventory requirements with sales and operations planning or the demand schedule.
- Train and guide employees effectively.

1-3 years' experience in a previous management role.Experience in materials management and working as a production planner and inventory controls.Experience managing teams through ERP systems; SyteLine experience is beneficial.Ability to make quick, accurate decisions based on information collected.Demonstrated ability to problem-solve.Experience with ERP implementation.Effective communication with all levels of the organization.Work Environment
This position is onsite, requiring the ability to work flexible hours with additional time as needed. The role involves collaboration with the sales, accounting, supply chain, and some engineering teams, ensuring close communication with the engineering team for ECOs, NPIs, and other essential activities. The environment encourages an ownership mindset and camaraderie, supported by regular team celebrations and incentives like gas and gift cards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newberg, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $57.70 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
