Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults only Patient Volume / Census : 1216 OP per day Admissions : No Rounding : Minimal (05 hospital consults / month, by phone only) Phone Consults : Yes (hospital consults via phone) Case Mix : 1. Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Reactive Arthritis 2. Vasculitis, Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA), Temporal Arteritis (TA), Polyarteritis Nodosa, Wegener's Granulomatosis 3. Inflammatory Myopathies, Polymyalgia Rheumatica 4. Gout & Crystal Arthropathies 5. Osteoporosis / Bone Health 6. Sarcoidosis 7. Lupus, Scleroderma, Sjogren's Syndrome, Raynaud's Phenomenon, Positive ANA with associated symptoms (rash, joint pain / swelling, pleural effusion, pericarditis) EMR : Epic Support Staff : APPs & clinic staff Reason for Coverage : Turnover Vacancy Other Specialties On-Site : None Hospital Privileges Required : Yes (Full Privileges) Temporary Privileges Available : Yes (estimated credentialing 90 days) Credentialing Timeline : 90 days Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Joint Injections Active PA license or IMLC BC / BE DEA BLS Experience : Minimum 1 year Proficiency with Epic; capable of supervising APPs; comfortable with adult rheumatology cases Provide OP rheumatology care (1216 patients / day) Conduct office visits, video visits, and APP supervision Manage in-basket (admin / clinical tasks) Perform joint injections as needed Provide hospital consults by phone (05 per month during office hours) Collaborate with support staff & ensure continuity of care ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Estimated Shifts per Month : 20 (flexible : 1020 possible) Workload : 36 patient-facing hours / week Choose assignments based on your preferred locations, accommodating personal preferences or opportunities for family visits and exploration.
