Psych Tech - PRN

Psych Aide

The Psych Aide provides direct contact with each assigned patient to monitor responses to services & identify problem areas.

Reports directly to Nurse Manager and / or Charge Nurse

Responsibilities and Duties :

• Provides physical, emotional & / or cognitive patient care in an appropriate, safe manner.
• Liaison with various departments of LCMH to patient safety and quality care based on patient needs. - Diligent Training
• Utilizes effective crisis intervention techniques.
• Demonstrates ability to conduct environment and patient safety duties (i.e.- room inspections, patient search, belonging searches, monitor visitors for contraband).
• Communicates abnormal variances of physical data (vital signs, pain, etc.) to appropriate staff.
• Emotional & / or cognitive data (tearful, hallucinating, etc.) to appropriate staff.
