We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Gambling Program Coordinator to lead prevention, education, and treatment efforts for individuals impacted by problem gambling in our community.
Position Summary
The Gambling Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and promoting community-based problem gambling prevention and treatment services. This position blends community outreach, program leadership, and clinical counseling to increase awareness, strengthen partnerships, and support individuals and families affected by gambling addiction.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee problem gambling prevention activities in the community.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with community providers, and agencies to raise awareness of gambling addiction and available resources.
- Deliver educational presentations and outreach programs related to gambling prevention and treatment.
- Assist in data collection, reporting, and budget tracking for grants and quality improvement projects.
- Represent Meridian HealthCare with state agencies, coalitions, and advocacy groups related to gambling prevention and treatment.
- Provide therapeutic counseling to clients and families.
- Conduct client assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and facilitate ongoing treatment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation and treatment records according to agency, state, and federal guidelines.
- Participate in clinical supervision, staff development, and quality assurance activities.
- Support Meridian's mission, policies, and culture of compassionate, high-quality care.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required.Licensed in Ohio (LPCC, LISW, LCDC-III, LICDC); Gambling Endorsement preferred.Experience in addiction services, behavioral health, or problem gambling prevention / treatment strongly preferred.Strong communication, public speaking, and community engagement skills.Experience with data tracking, grant reporting, or program coordination helpful.Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism with staff, clients, and external partners.Benefits
