• Job Summary
• Blendtec is looking for a leader who has the proven ability and history of using their expertise to lead creative strategy and grow brands. The candidate will oversee the brand(s) image, style and voice to maintain consistency across all outlets. The individual must have deep capabilities in strategy and development to bring the brand to life in both the digital and traditional marketing space including advertising, social media, website, packaging, and ecommerce to name a few. This person will report to and work alongside the VP of Marketing, in office, to ensure all aspects of the Blendtec brand (positioning, identity, messaging, compliance) are upheld in the marketplace.
• Essential Functions
• Acts as subject matter expert and business resource for all creative and content development related to telling the Blendtec brand story.
• Establish and maintain a consistent brand image throughout all product lines, materials, and events.
• Will be instrumental in developing and shaping the brand identity.
• Responsible for delivering all manner of content - from online advertising, to packaging design, to commercial cut sheets, to trade show deliverables, to email marketing imagery & copy.
• Seeks to understand key industry trends, the consumer, the category, and the competitive landscape for thoughtful and impactful design.
• Has a strong understanding of creative design and strategy throughout the marketing funnel.
• Develops and maintains relationships with internal team, customer partners, and agencies.
• Supports internal teams & operations with collateral development.
• Education / Experience
• 10+ years of progressive experience in creative roles.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
• BS degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field.
• Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
• Ability to lead a creative team / agency.
• Solid background in design, photography, and copywriting.
• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and presentation software.
• HTML, PHP and other Web experience a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of typography.
• Must be able to manage a creative team from concept brief to completion with strong leadership.
• Strong record of achieving goals and achieving or exceeding timelines.
• Experience in marketing and activating consumer products in various environments (retail, commercial, ecommerce).
• Strong organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and acute attention to detail.
• Superior interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and handle shifting priorities. Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment.
