The firm's Public Infrastructure – Transportation Team is seeking a Design Professional – Civil to join the West Des Moines, IA office. Overview

As part of our Transportation and Municipal practice, you'll gain hands-on experience in traffic engineering and municipal transportation projects, contributing to solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and mobility in the communities where we live and work. This role provides a solid foundation for your career and supports licensure through diverse project experience and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Focus on traffic engineering, including traffic studies, signal design, corridor modeling, traffic operations analysis, and development of traffic control and detour plans.
• Contribute to broader transportation and infrastructure projects, supporting roadway design and multimodal initiatives.
• Prepare CAD drawings, traffic models, technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates.
• Gain field experience through data collection, traffic counts, and construction observation to connect planning and design with real-world performance and implementation.
