Interim RN Director

Location :  Akron, OH

Shifts :  7 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM (40 hours / week)

Pay :  $79.00 / hr - $3,160 / wk

The RN Director is responsible for managing patient throughput, nursing staffing, and resource coordination across various hospital departments, including the Regional Float Pool, Companion Float Pool, and Clinical Decision Unit. The position also oversees off-shift nursing supervision and overall nursing operations logistics.

The position also oversees off-shift nursing supervision and overall nursing operations logistics.\n\nRN Director Key Responsibilities : \n\nCollaborates with Call Center and nursing teams to optimize patient flow.\n\nSupervises staffing office, administrative supervisors, and multiple nursing units.\n\nLeads interdisciplinary teams to implement change and process improvements.\n\nOversees key operations such as scheduling, acuity management, productivity tracking, and payroll.\n\nEnsures high-quality, cost-effective, evidence-based patient care aligned with corporate strategies.\n\nCoaches and supports staff to foster a culture of excellence and teamwork.\n\nRN Director Requirements : \n\nEducation : BSN and MSN (or Master's in Business / Healthcare) ; nursing degree from an accredited institution; Ohio RN license.\n\nExperience : 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in supervisory / management roles in acute care settings.\n\nSkills : Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and team collaboration skills; proficiency in systems management.\n\nActive BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications.
