Forklift Operator

Fosdick Fulfillment Corporation, a leader in fulfillment services, has a full time Forklift Operator position available in our Wallingford location Monday through Friday 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm.

Position Summary

The Forklift Drivers moves and delivers material in the warehouse to designated locations.

Supervision Received

The Forklift Drivers works under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this position, including arriving at your work station on time at the start of your shift and after rest and meal periods.
• Checks fork lift for safety precaution before operating.
• Ability to accurately use RF gun.
• Accurately removes or places merchandise from / in warehouse locations.
• Duties may include receiving, put away, picking, replenishment, consolidating, loading and staging.
• May perform order filler and checker duties.
• Completes all records and reports as required.
• Maintain inventory control and proper stock rotation.
• May assist in physical inventories, bin sweeps or cycle counting
• Restacks and re-wraps merchandise on pallet.
• Pulls merchandise for production ensuring correct SKU#, description, amount on skid, available location, moved from, moved to, and quantity.
• Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the material handling equipment.
• Complies with safety rules and regulations
• Maintains cleans work area in accordance with company standards.
• Assists, when necessary, with other warehouse and / or production related duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in typical warehouse surroundings. Some moderately uncomfortable elements might be present such as heat, cold, dust. Work is fast paced and involves pressures of meeting delivery commitments and responding to changing priorities.
