Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Assigned Foreman as part of a field crew constructing ground-level and foundation-based water storage tanks.
• Perform shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) using 6010 and 7018 rods, ensuring strong, consistent, and high-quality welds.
• Set up, operate, and adjust welding machines and tools for various processes and materials.
• Weld, grind, gouge, and finish metals primarily at ground level in controlled work areas.
• Maintain and inspect tools, machinery, and materials before and during work.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and ensure a safe, organized worksite.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and supervisor direction at all times.
• Perform housekeeping duties and other assigned tasks to support the team and jobsite operations.
