We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient Gastroenterology team. In this role, you will collaborate with gastroenterologists to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of gastrointestinal disorders.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical exams for patients with gastrointestinal symptoms and disorders.
- Obtain and interpret patient histories, laboratory tests, and imaging results.
- Manage both acute and chronic GI conditions, including GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, and gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Assist in the coordination of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including endoscopy preparation and post‑procedure follow‑up.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Educate patients on medication management, dietary recommendations, and lifestyle modifications to promote digestive health.
- Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure counseling and instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team‑based patient care efforts.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) with certification as a Nurse Practitioner, orMaster’s degree as a Physician Assistant from an accredited program.License & Certification
Current and unrestricted license to practice as an NP or PA in the state of Arizona.National certification (AANP / ANCC for NP or NCCPA for PA).Current ACLS certification.What We Offer
