Position Overview :
As eCommerce Manager, you will take ownership of our strategy and execution on Amazon and other retailer online platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our Amazon business, driving sales growth and profitability while working closely with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure a cohesive strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who thrives on data and loves turning insights into action.
Key Responsibilities & Impact Areas
Brand & Catalog Management :
- Oversee the day-to-day management of our brand presence on Amazon and other eCommerce platforms, establishing yourself as the subject matter expert for digital retail excellence.
- Optimize product listings, content, and digital shelf presence to maximize visibility and conversion rates.
- Monitor account health metrics and ensure compliance with Amazon's evolving policies and platform requirements.
- Manage product catalog accuracy, ensuring all product information is current, compelling, and optimized for search.
Sales & Profitability Analysis :
Continuously monitor key performance metrics including sales trends, SKU-level profitability, and promotion effectiveness.Identify growth opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership on strategic initiatives.Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to inform business strategy.Track and report on return on investment for promotional activities and advertising spend.Inventory Management & Operations :
Lead demand forecasting to optimize inventory levels and minimize out-of-stock situations.Maximize inventory health scores through strategic planning and proactive management.Partner with operations team to ensure compliance with Amazon fulfillment policies and service level agreements.Coordinate with supply chain to align inventory availability with promotional calendars and seasonal demand.Strategy & Reporting :
Develop and execute comprehensive Amazon and eCommerce marketplace strategy aligned with overall business objectives.Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging eCommerce trends to maintain competitive advantage.Provide regular reporting and strategic insights to leadership and stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.Design and implement testing strategies to continuously improve performance across all digital touchpoints.Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Build strong relationships with internal teams including sales, marketing, operations, finance, and product development.Manage relationships with external partners, agencies, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment and optimal performance.Serve as the internal champion for eCommerce initiatives, educating stakeholders on platform dynamics and opportunities.Collaborate with marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all digital retail touchpoints.Desired Qualifications & Your Contributions
eCommerce & Digital Retail Expertise :
Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience managing Amazon accounts (Seller Central and / or Vendor Central).Deep understanding of Amazon's ecosystem, algorithms, and best practices for driving organic and paid visibility.Experience with eCommerce analytics platforms and proficiency in translating data into strategic initiatives.Analytical & Technical Skills :
Highly analytical and detail-oriented with advanced skills in Excel and data visualization tools.Ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights to create compelling business narratives and actionable recommendations.Experience with Amazon Advertising (PPC), digital marketing campaigns, and performance optimization is highly valued.Familiarity with other eCommerce marketplaces (Walmart, Target, etc.) and knowledge of eCommerce SEO strategies is a plus.Communication & Project Management :
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.Strong project management capabilities with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.Behavioral Competencies :

This is a full-time position based in Chicago, IL with hybrid work arrangements. The role operates in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment requiring flexibility to adapt to changing marketplace dynamics and business priorities. Occasional travel may be required for trade shows, vendor meetings, or company events.
