Veterinary Nurse II - Small Animal Surgery

About This Role

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Veterinary Nurse II to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. This position provides veterinary support and performs semi-routine tasks in the Small Animal Surgery section. Employee provides assistance in the care of patients through independently performing technical procedures and administering treatments. Other responsibilities include providing support for a busy receiving or surgery schedule, assisting with teaching, or helping with research projects. Working hours for this position will include Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm as well as rotational standby coverage for after hours and weekend / holiday emergency procedures.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications :

For Veterinary Nurse II :

• Completion of a two-year college program in veterinary or animal technology accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
• Two years of relevant experience.
