DMV's Information Systems Division (ISD) is seeking a motivated technology-forward-thinking Information Technology (IT) Analyst / Developer to be a part of a dynamic team that serves in the Industry Services Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the quality, reliability, user experience, and access to DMV technology products. As an IT Specialist II, you will be instrumental in interpreting technology and / or business problems and formulating and presenting solutions to stakeholders. IT Specialist II is responsible for analysis, design, application development, and documentation. IT Specialist II possesses a good practical technical knowledge base, which includes emerging "cutting-edge" technologies. Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Specialist II will perform duties related to Software and System Engineering, including, but not limited to software development, product management, and solution design. The Information Technology Specialist II is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications in the VR Support Group. Join our team to lead the innovation and digital technology. Working Conditions
Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.
Works in an office setting in artificial light and temperature control. Sits in a cubicle, primarily sedentary for extended periods of time. Operates a personal computer / laptop, telephone, copier, and other office equipment. Incumbent gives presentations and participates in meetings, conferences and workshops. Communicates with internal and external customers via e-mail, telephone, in person or virtually. Attends meetings on HQ campus and off campus. DMV operates 24x7. The incumbent may be required to carry a work cell phone and laptop. There may also be times when the incumbent is required to attend an out of town conference, or work evenings and weekends to maintain project schedules.
