Controls Engineer – Industrial Automation & Robotics

We are seeking talented Controls Engineers to design, develop, and optimize automation and control systems that drive the future of automotive manufacturing . In this role, you’ll work on diverse automation projects , collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch new programs, integrate cutting-edge technologies , and support high-tech manufacturing operations .

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in PLC programming , HMI / SCADA development , robotics , and industrial automation to improve system reliability , operational efficiency , and manufacturing safety in advanced production environments .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new program implementation , including controls and robotics design , equipment build , system run-off , and plant installation .
• Design, integrate, and optimize PLC , HMI , and SCADA systems for automated manufacturing equipment .
• Manage the procurement and launch of capital projects from concept to commissioning, meeting cost , quality , and timeline goals .
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in control systems to minimize downtime and support production continuity .
• Collaborate with manufacturing , maintenance , and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement in product quality , equipment safety , and production efficiency .
• Stay current on emerging automation technologies such as AI , robotics , machine vision systems , and industrial communication networks , applying them to optimize manufacturing processes .
• Ensure compliance with OSHA , NFPA 79 , IEC , and UL standards for safety and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical mentorship and support to junior Controls Engineers .
• Support senior leadership with technical reports , program updates , and project status documentation.
