Health Aide / Paraprofessional

Supports students' health, safety, and educational needs. Assist under the direction of a licensed Nurse or Supervisor, to student with special needs.

Responsibilities

Health Support :

provide basic first aide and health-related support to students.

Assist with daily health routines (medication reminders, hygiene support, monitor medical condition under supervision. Document and report student health concerns to the school nurse or supervisor. Support infection control and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Paraprofessional Support :

Assist teachers with instructional support in the classroom.

Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students with acedemic or behavioral needs.

Support students in classroom, lunchroom, hallways, or during transportsation as assigned.

Reinforce positive behavior strategies and promote social-emotional learning.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED

Previous experience with children, healthcare setting. CPR / First Aide Certification

Strong communication skills

patience, flexibility, ability to work with staff, students, and families.

Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to assist students with lifting, positioning, mobility.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, move quickly in response to students needs.

May be required to assist with toileting, feeding, or other hands-on support.
