Phlebotomist Technician

Committed to care, our Laboratory Technician I can enter a room and bring comfort, calm and compassion. Join a team of Phlebotomists in a fast-paced hospital, outpatient laboratory and at a skilled nursing facilities drawing blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians in accordance with established procedures. This position is a Full time from 8 : 00am-4 : 00pm with availability for 6 : 00am-2 : 00am with alternating weekends position located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY and may need to cover off site at other location : 1756 Route 9D, Cold Spring, NY.

Preferred Criteria :

• Ability to deal with patients pleasantly to minimize trauma to patients.
• Must be able to function well under the normal pressures of hospital laboratory work.
• Possess effective communication and organizational skills.
• Possess computer skills appropriate for the position.
• Some laboratory training and EKG experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification from National Phlebotomy Association.
• Experience and expertise in venipuncture technique preferred.
