The Greater Peoria Sanitary District is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our Wastewater Treatment Plant team. This position plays a key role in maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical and control systems that support critical treatment operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced with industrial electrical systems in a utility or plant setting.
This individual must be able to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, control panels, motors, pumps, and other plant equipment; maintain and calibrate instrumentation, SCADA, and automated process control systems; perform preventive maintenance and testing on electrical distribution systems (480V and below); read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals; ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), safety regulations, and plant operational standards; assist with upgrades and modifications to electrical and control systems; collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering staff to support efficient plant performance, and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Interested individuals must either possess a journey-level union card (electrician) or possess a combination of internal training and an Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance or similar program acceptable to Management.
