Base pay range

$125,000.00 / yr - $160,000.00 / yr

We are looking for someone who feels empowered to innovate, takes action, is customer driven and has a flair for process automation in Rev Rec world.

Overview

We are seeking a revenue accounting leader who can drive process automation and cross-functional collaboration in the Rev Rec domain.

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly close process, overseeing analysis performed over US GAAP accounts (e.g., revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, allowance for doubtful accounts, etc.) and key SaaS metrics (ARR, Growth Rates, Churn, etc.).
  • Manage and design systems, processes, and internal controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606).
  • Partner with order management, sales operations, accounts receivable and other cross-functional teams to improve quote-to-cash process accuracy and efficiency.
  • Build scalable revenue accounting processes via automation and IT system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to analyze forecast versus actual revenue and deferred revenue.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of combined experience in private industry and public accounting, with at least 2 years of work experience directly related to revenue recognition and revenue operations.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science, CPA preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of current US GAAP with respect to revenue recognition and ability / willingness to stay current on all related developing issues.
  • Experience and in-depth understanding of Netsuite ARM, SFDC or other sophisticated IT finance systems to identify process improvements and drive integration.
  • Experience working for a high growth / fast paced Software company.
  • Detail-oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills required and ability to work with and analyze and interpret large volumes of transactional data.
  • Experience managing and fostering a high-performance team.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and operate with a sense of urgency, with self-starter orientation.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be a change agent for implementing new ideas and process improvements in an increasingly complex environment.
