RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a community representative of BronxWorks and the Cross Bronx Community Services Program, serving Murphy Houses and BaychesterHouses
• Conduct Outreach activities and disseminate information in Murphy and Baychester Housing Developments. Outreach includes but is not limited to door knocking, tabling and / or flyering in and around the development, attending tenant association meetings, community meetings, and other relevant activities as it relates to outreach and community engagement.
• Help to engagement and recruit residents of the targeted developments to increase participation and community awareness.
• Assist with direct client services including enrollment into the program and providing case management services, with a caseload focus and monitoring of participant engagement.
• Provide assistance with case management needs, including wraparound services, income supports, job readiness assistance (i.e. resume building, mock interviews, workshops, etc.)
• Provide referrals for all workforce development and essential service needs to include but not limited to opportunities for employment, vocational training and education (i.e. adult literacy)
• Coordinate program initiatives, services and activities with program team and director
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program offerings.
• Facilitate daily activities and provide hands-on support during events.
• Assist in the preparation of all activities (i.e. bulletin board, monthly calendar of events, holiday events, etc.)
• Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe, respectful, and inclusive manner.
• Must be reliable, able to multi-task and flex schedule based upon program needs.
• Adhere to the agency and funder policies, principles, and procedures
• Ensure program meets contractual goals and reporting requirements.
• Perform all other duties and tasks assigned
