NICU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Nashville, TN 37208 (Tennessee nursing jobs) Setting : Level II NICU & Well-Baby Nursery Employment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Start Date : December 1, 2025 End Date : March 2, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift, 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,780 - $1,910 Patient Census : Average 6 neonates, 14-bed unit Scheduling : Self-scheduling Weekend Coverage : Required NICU RN Qualifications Active Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact license (Registered Nurse) Minimum 1 year of recent Level II NICU and well-baby nursery experience Experience attending deliveries preferred; training available for motivated candidates Ability to float to Labor & Delivery, Mother / Baby, and other clinical units as needed Experience working with diverse patient populations, including incarcerated patients Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, CPI (or MAB accepted) COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered) First-time travel nurses and local applicants encouraged to apply NICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonates in a Level II NICU and well-baby nursery Attend high-risk deliveries and serve as primary baby nurse during neonatal emergencies Support cross-training and LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) model implementation Float to L&D, Mother / Baby, and sitter roles as needed for clinical support Administer blood products, antibiotics, antivirals, and manage neonatal medication dosages Perform APGAR scoring, blood glucose monitoring, and provide breastfeeding support Operate specialized neonatal equipment : Bubble CPAP, HFNC, oscillators, ventilators, UAC / UVC catheters Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services Take the next step in your NICU nursing career with this travel nurse job in Nashville, Tennessee.
