This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Information Security Architect in the United States .

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Information Security Architect to provide senior-level guidance on the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise security systems. This hybrid role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define security requirements for enterprise IT systems and internally developed applications. The ideal candidate will proactively identify vulnerabilities, implement robust security solutions, and ensure compliance with industry best practices, state and federal regulations, and organizational policies. You will influence security strategies across on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments, conduct threat modeling, and support secure software development lifecycles. This position requires both technical depth and strong advisory capabilities to safeguard information assets while enabling business objectives.

Accountabilities :

  • Define security requirements for enterprise IT systems and internally developed applications, whether purchased or developed in-house.
  • Analyze technology environments—including on-premises, cloud, and SaaS—for security gaps and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Advise and collaborate with Information Security and IT teams, ensuring solutions meet compliance, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  • Develop and implement enterprise security architecture plans aligned with business requirements and delivery team strategies.
  • Conduct threat modeling, security testing, and secure code reviews to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Ensure applications follow secure development lifecycle principles, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor, guiding cross-functional teams in the application of best practices and enterprise security standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Information Technology and 5 years in Information Security, Application Security, or a related field.
  • CISSP certification preferred; Azure certifications such as AZ-500 or AZ-305 are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise security architecture, secure coding practices, threat modeling, and cloud security.
  • Proven experience with compliance standards, state and federal regulations, and organizational security policies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in hybrid environments and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
