Garg Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Professional Engineer to oversee system design for HVAC, Fire Sprinkler and Pumping and Plumbing systems. Minimum of 10 years of design or construction phase services related to Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering. The work will focus on facilities projects including planning, preliminary and final designs, and providing engineering services for projects in construction. The candidate for this position must have a Professional Engineer license and a working knowledge and experience with various types of heating, air conditioning, ventilation and hydronic piping systems. Candidate must have familiarity with AutoCAD / Revit.

Location : Princeton, NJ

Position Responsibilities :

Conduct site visits and prepare reports

Document heating / cooling systems, temperature and ventilation

Identify and document level of control systems as necessary to match their facilities

Perform engineering calculations, including heating and cooling load calculations and hydraulic pressure drop calculations, to support design work for HVAC, Fire Sprinkler Systems, Pumping and Plumbing Systems. Ensure design meets applicable Building Code, Fire Code, Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code and Fuel Gas Code

Perform plumbing pipe sizing and fixture count analysis

Develop design concepts into working drawings

Coordinate with Project Team to ensure design, schedule and budget requirements are met

Work as part of a cross functional team of civil, electrical and mechanical engineers

Key Qualifications :

Candidate must have a degree in engineering from an accredited institution. Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Active Professional Engineer license in New Jersey

Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in designing heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and fire protection systems in the Plumbing and Fire Protection Field

REVIT / AutoCAD experience is required

Strong oral and written communication skills

Experience with the following Codes and Standards :

International Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code and Fire Code

ASME B31.1 Power Piping / ASME B3.9 Building Services Piping Designs

NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems

SMANCA Duct Construction Standards
