The Children’s Center of Hamden is dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families through evidence-based programming. We are seeking a Lead Visitation Coach to join our Quality Parenting Center (QPC) team. In this role, you will serve as a model for other visitation coaches while ensuring the safety, well-being, and progress of families served by the QPC program. You will provide guidance, oversight, and coaching to families while collaborating closely with the Program Manager, Program Director, and DCF to promote positive outcomes and program success.

As Lead Visitation Coach , you will :
Ensure the care, welfare, and safety of all families served by the QPC Program.Coordinate and confirm scheduled visits, including transportation arrangements and session preparation.Provide coaching and guidance to families, fostering a positive and productive visitation experience.Serve as a model for other visitation coaches, providing leadership, support, and mentorship.Collaborate closely with the QPC Program Manager, Program Director, and DCF to ensure program standards are met and families achieve successful outcomes.Report directly to the QPC Program Manager and support senior-level decision-making within the department.Maintain professionalism, uphold agency policies, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for families and staff.Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to the needs of the program and department.What We’re Looking For
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving recordCurrent CPR / First Aid certificationExperience working with families in a social services, child welfare, or behavioral health setting is strongly preferred.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and model best practices for staff.Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and external partners.Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, standing, walking, bending, and other physical tasks as needed.Potential exposure to bodily fluids and other environmental hazards in a residential treatment settingJoin Our Team
