Job descriptionEnsure oral health by carrying out dental prophylaxis, conducting oral cancer screenings, and performing necessary procedures in line with the Dental Practice Act. Prepare patients for their treatment by providing a welcoming and comfortable environment. Address patients' questions and assist staff by providing accurate information. Maintain the necessary tools for dental hygiene care through sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting appropriate instruments. Evaluate patients' oral health to determine materials and equipment needed for visits. Conduct thorough cleaning of teeth and gum areas to remove deposits and stains. Identify dental diseases through comprehensive exams and radiographic assessments. Prevent dental decay by applying fluoride treatments and other protective agents. Active dental hygiene license in SC. Strong knowledge of dental procedures and related terminology. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills for patient education on oral health practices.
Pay Range : $45.00 - $60.00 / hour
