Job Title : Solutions Architect
Job Description
As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing the architecture of applications within a specific business domain, such as Digital, Mid-Office, or Back-Office. Your role involves translating business processes and requirements into IT solutions, guiding development teams with architectural direction, and organizing solution design activities. You will document the architecture direction in a PSA and architecture repository.
Responsibilities
Align with business stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements, translating these into IT solutions.
Organize solution design activities and involve the appropriate stakeholders.
Design solutions based on business requirements, ensuring they adhere to architectural boundaries.
Capture the solution direction in the Product Solution Architecture (PSA).
Arrange approval for architecture artifacts with business stakeholders, lead architects, architects of other domains, and delivery teams.
Provide support and guidance for successful adoption of changes or new technology by coaching and assisting business and IT teams.
Collaborate with the Lead Architect to create architecture roadmaps and plans aligned with business strategy.
Execute architecture roadmaps by maintaining and coordinating the architecture backlog of the business domain.
Maintain the architecture repository.
Offer architectural guidance to Agile engineers.
Monitor implementation of solutions to ensure compliance with PSAs.
Proactively suggest improvements for the IT landscape within the business domain.
Stay updated with new or changing insights, architecture practices, and relevant IT and financial services market developments.
Essential Skills
5 years of experience in designing and architecting IT solutions.
University-level education, open to 2 or 4-year degrees.
Practical experience with architecture frameworks.
Excellent communication skills in both speech and writing.
Customer-facing and customer-oriented.
Leadership skills.
Stakeholder management skills.
Ability to convey IT subjects in business terminology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Cloud solutions and integration with non-cloud environments.
Certified in TOGAF.
Certified in Archimate.
Strong technology history
Understanding of architecture concepts.
Familiarity with commercial lending / lease.
Experience in project management methodologies.
Experience in software development methodologies.
Ability to coach Agile engineers.
Experience working in Agile / scrum environments within the IT and financial services sectors.
Focus on delivery.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment, with an expectation to be in the office approximately 8 days a month. The team is dispersed across the country, providing significant flexibility and remote working opportunities. The current team consists of 6 solutions architects, and there is an open position with plans to expand further, indicating an ongoing interest in building a robust pipeline of Solutions Architects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00 / yr.
