Position Summary
Parker Plastics is seeking a Sales Professional with a successful track record of growing the company's business through effective and efficient new business development, customer relationship management, and strategic territory management. This position is focused on the Western United States region and primarily serves customers out of the Parker Plastics facility in North Las Vegas, NV. Candidates must reside in the Western U.S. and be willing to travel frequently to the Parker Plastics facility and / or to visit customers in CA, AZ, NV, UT, OR, WA, ID, and surrounding states.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties
- Drive direct sales regionally through organic growth with existing customers and by cultivating new business relationships
- Develop long-term, multi-level customer relationships
- Develop a business plan to maximize market penetration in the company's primary industries
- Implement strong customer relationship and management practices
- Negotiate commercial agreements aligned with company objectives on pricing and profitability
- Work closely with the North Las Vegas manufacturing facility to implement a sales strategy to leverage operational capabilities and capacities
Qualifications
3-7 years of direct sales business experience, primary packaging sales experience is a plus3+ years of sales management experience leveraging strong leadership skills, along with the ability to negotiate, influence, and communicate effectively (both written & oral) with internal teams and external contactsSuccessful track record of achieving sales goals and increasing regional and company revenue and profitabilityExcellent organizational, communication, and computer skillsProven experience managing projects and working with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and customer serviceFundamental knowledge and understanding of manufacturing economicsExperience managing sales opportunities via Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.)Strong MS Office knowledge and skillset, including MS Excel, PPT, and WordCollege degree or equivalentLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipAbility to travel ~50% of the timeMust have a valid driver's license
