Column is a developer-first bank and software company delivering technology-forward banking solutions to simplify and fix the banking supply chain. This role sits at the heart of that mission as a Product Engineer who builds interfaces, APIs, and backend systems powering how customers interact with the platform.

Youll write TypeScript and React for the dashboard, Go for backend services, and report directly to the CEO while collaborating with the Head of Design on product direction. Youll own the full lifecycle of your work, from spec through deployment, including meeting with customers to understand how projects perform in production. The team is lean, high-trust, and execution-focused, with real autonomy and visibility. This role is San Francisco-based, and youll be expected to work out of our Presidio-based office 3+ days a week .

What Youll Do

• Build and maintain key user-facing and internal features across the dashboard and core systems
• Write clean, testable TypeScript and Golang code
• Design and document APIs, then own their implementation and reliability
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, business, and customers to iterate on product functionality
• Influence product direction by bringing user feedback directly into design decisions
• Take full ownership of projects, from idea to launch

Pay Transparency

Compensation packages include base salary, equity, and benefits. New hire offers are based on experience, location, and internal pay equity. The annual US base salary range for this role is $150,000-$250,000 + equity.
