Job Details :

Work 12-hour shifts with options for 7 : 00 AM-7 : 00 PM, 11 : 00 AM-11 : 00 PM, or 3 : 00 PM-3 : 00 AM

Night shift 7 : 00 PM-7 : 00 AM available, every other weekend requirement

3-shift floor-specific orientation provided

Must have 2+ years of nursing experience, travel experience preferred

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, COVID vaccine required, TNCC preferred

Patient ratios : 1 : 4 general assignment, 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 for ICU status patients

Navy scrubs required

Work with Cerner EMR system and Phillips monitoring equipment

Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently

Handle high-volume emergency department seeing 208-317 patients per day

Treat diverse patient population including 30% pediatric cases, trauma, stroke, and STEMI patients

Work in 32-bed emergency department with 6 treatment chairs and 4-bed fast track

May be required to float to Arroyo Grande emergency department

Lab draws performed by designated staff, not nursing

24 / 7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available

Assistant nurse manager available 24 / 7 without patient assignment

Facility :

This Level 3 trauma center operates a high-volume emergency department designed to handle a wide range of medical emergencies and trauma cases. The facility features a comprehensive 32-bed emergency department with specialized areas including a fast track unit and dedicated treatment chairs. The hospital maintains 24 / 7 support services including respiratory therapy and pharmacy, with specialized staff including emergency physicians, mid-level providers, and emergency technicians trained as CNAs and EMTs.
