Assembly & Wiring Technician, $25–$35 / hr – Madison Heights, MI
We are seeking a mid-career Assembly & Wiring Technician to support our clients growing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electronics assembly, wire harness troubleshooting, and manufacturing support, with the opportunity to contribute directly to innovative electric and hybrid vehicle projects.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in assembly and wiring for manufacturing or prototyping environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Familiarity with wire harness building and troubleshooting
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
- Technical certification preferred
- IPC / WHMA-A-620 Certification a plus
- Experience with high-voltage systems, batteries, or electric / hybrid vehicles is a strong plus
- Familiarity with fabrication tools (cutting, welding, etc.) is a plus
Skills & Responsibilities :
Assist in building and assembling electronics boxes for prototype and production applicationsAssemble, route, crimp, and troubleshoot wire harnesses to ensure proper function and reliabilitySupport engineering and design teams by providing hands-on wiring and assembly expertisePerform functional tests on completed assemblies and document resultsTroubleshoot and rework assemblies that fail testing or inspectionCollaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve processes and efficiencyFlex between tasks and projects as needed to support production and prototyping demandsThis is a hands-on position for a skilled technician who enjoys problem-solving and contributing to cutting-edge projects in electric and hybrid vehicle technology.
