Job Title : Casual Diagnostic Technologist
Job Description : We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Casual Diagnostic Technologist to join our team. This role requires a minimum of eight hours per pay period, one weekend per month, and at least one holiday per year. No on-call duties are required.
Qualifications : Candidates at all levels of the imaging career ladder, including Diagnostic Technologists and CT Technologists, are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will be placed on the appropriate step of the career ladder based on their experience and licensure.

What You’ll Do :
Perform diagnostic radiography procedures independently using advanced imaging equipmentApply sound judgment and initiative to deliver high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposesEnsure accurate documentation, coding, and image archivingAdminister oral and rectal contrast per physician orders and department protocolsCommunicate clearly and compassionately with patients to ease concerns and explain proceduresCollaborate with team members across departments to ensure efficient and effective patient careWhat We’re Looking For :

Education :
Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology, or verification from an ARRT-approved school confirming completion of the program and scheduled graduation date.Technologists hired prior to graduation will work under indirect supervision by an ARRT-certified Diagnostic Technologist until their degree is verified.Technologists may not work in an outpatient setting until ARRT certification has been obtained.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
ARRT Registry Eligible as a Radiologic Technologist.Must obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire for those hired on or after January 1, 2025 .
Diagnostic Technologists hired before January 1, 2025 must obtain their registry within 12 months of hire or transfer .CPR or BLS certification required , based on AHA standards, including both didactic and skills demonstration components. Must be completed within 30 days of hire .Technologists may not work in an outpatient setting until ARRT certification is obtained.If working in a New York facility , certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required, along with licensure through the New York State Department of Health .Required Clearances and Certifications :
ARRT CertificateBasic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Act 31 – Child Abuse Reporting (with renewal)Act 33 – Pennsylvania Clearance (with renewal)Act 34 – Criminal Background Check (with renewal)Act 73 – FBI Clearance (with renewal)
