Synergy Health Partners is looking for an RN to serve as its PACU Manager at its Livonia ASC. The PACU Manager is the ultimate responsible party for patient care, the orderly operation of pre-op and PACU, ensuring that proper clinical, ethical, and administrative protocols are followed during the course of a patient's time at the ASC site. The PACU Manager is also responsible for overseeing the duties and tasks of circulating staff members. At times the PACU Manager is responsible for assisting in clinical care as well as pre- and post-op care and some administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the hiring, training, evaluation, counseling and termination of the nursing staff.
- Conducts regular nursing staff meetings.
- Creates and manages staff scheduling
- Creates and manages site schedules
- Conducts annual performance reviews
- Is involved in the recruitment and hiring process
- Performs clinical duties as staffing levels require
- Trains and supervises the training of new staff as well as current staff regarding proper procedure
- Assist with clinical duties in pre-op and PACU
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
- Review all clinical documentation and report any issues.
- Serve as medical professional in a manner consistent with training, licensure, and
- Provide professional and independent response using good judgment to emergent changes in the conditions of assigned patients which is consistent with organizational and industrywide best practices.
- Completes appropriate documentation of all evaluations, care, and services rendered in the medical record of the ASC
- Functions as a nurse in the operating room including performing tasks and other matters as needed and / or directed by the Supervising Physician. Maintains and ensures universal precautions and personal safety at all times. Maintains infection control procedures to protect against cross contamination.
- Is responsible for interacting cross-departmentally on site as well as interacting with physicians and vendors as necessary

Basic Requirements
3-5 years of progressive leadership in an ASC PACU settingFamiliarity with medical software and equipmentAbility to build rapport with patients, providers, and othersStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentNursing license valid and in good standing in the state of MichiganPreferred Qualifications
5+ years working in a PACU settingPrevious experience in nursing or other medical fields, especially in an ASC settingPrevious musculoskeletal medical experienceCompany Description
