Schedule : Monday – Friday 1st shift – Saturdays as needed
United Construction & Forestry is looking for a Service Technician. This individual will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial construction and forestry equipment.
What You’ll Do
Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsRecondition and repair all engines, transmission, tractors and industrial equipment assigned by the shop supervisorDiagnose problems and determine what repairs are neededKeep records required to establish cost of parts and service charges to the customerHandle customer problems both objectively and tactfullyAssist in directing work of helpers or on the job trainees and provide instructions as requiredMaintain a clean work area and perform miscellaneous duties associated with the jobDevelop skills in disassembly, assembly and repair of components and machinesPerform all service tasks as assigned by the Product Support Manager, Service Manager, Service Writer or Shop ForemanPrepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignmentsReport any additional work required on equipment to the Service Manager, for proper and safe operation by the customerParticipate in all training programs as directed by the Service ManagerMaintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashionRequirements : What it Takes
Must own and maintain their own tools (specialty tools provided by dealership)Basic computer skillsAbility to assemble and perform maintenance functionsAble to work a varying work schedule / shift and be flexible to respond to after-hour callsStrong customer service skillsExcellent oral communication and written skillsStrong organizational skillsPreferred
