Job descriptionPartner with engineering, product, and industrial design teams to understand technical specifications and mechanical systems. Coordinate with customer support, service, and marketing teams to incorporate real-world insights, product positioning, and consistent language across customer-facing materials. Participate in product teardowns, builds, and validation testing to ensure procedural accuracy and completeness. Support the localization and translation of materials into multiple languages for EU and global markets. Deliver documentation in multiple formats (PDF, web-based, mobile-optimized) and integrate with internal platforms or service portals. Create visuals, diagrams, or work with designers / illustrators to produce technical illustrations and schematics where needed. Collaborate with marketing to adapt or repurpose technical materials for sales enablement, product pages, and customer onboarding flows. 3–7 years of experience in technical writing for hardware products (mobility, automotive, consumer electronics, etc.). Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, especially in mobility or light EVs. Experience writing for both consumer / end users and professional service / technical audiences. Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, InDesign, Markdown, Confluence, DITA, or equivalent). Excellent written English; additional language skills (e.g., German, French, Dutch) a plus. Strong attention to detail and a methodical, process-oriented mindset. Background working in or alongside after-sales / service or customer support organizations. Experience with video-based or interactive documentation tools. Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards (CE, EN, ISO, UL, etc.) in micro-mobility or light vehicles. We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically-savvy Technical Writer to lead the creation of product manuals, service and repair documentation, and maintenance guides for end users and professional service providers. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, service, and marketing teams to ensure every product ships with clear, accurate, and accessible documentation that supports safe use, effective servicing, and long-term reliability—while reinforcing our brand’s voice and customer experience.
What You Will Do
- Documentation Creation : Author and maintain owner’s manuals, quick start guides, safety instructions, and user-friendly how-to content.
- Develop and update technical service manuals, including diagnostics, repair procedures, and maintenance schedules for field technicians and dealers.
- Create content for digital platforms, knowledge bases, and print-ready documents as needed.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure technical content aligns with broader product messaging, visual identity, and brand tone.

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
