Duties :

  • Develop activity plans that identify actions, responsibilities, and schedules to ensure proper and timely support.
  • Expedite the acquisition movement of material, review / evaluate interim support measures, and initiate corrective action.
  • Serve as the focal point for the coordination of material support and resolution of problems.
  • Attend meetings and briefings on the status of projects / programs and present study results and recommendations to agency management officials.
  • Make purchases of specific, clearly defined items and serve as a buyer for the activity using the Government Purchase Card.

Requirements :

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You may be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You may be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may be subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and / or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • Qualifications :

    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing life cycle supply / program support. Specialized experience includes some or all of the following :

  • Reviewing reports, plans, and / or schedules to help determine material support requirements.
  • Identifying and assisting in resolving problems relative to material support.
  • Utilizing standard purchase methods to make specific purchases.
  • Attending meetings / briefings and presenting study results.
  • Assisting in performing budget / accounting functions such as processing and recording of billing invoices, recording of obligations, expenditures, etc.
  • Education :

    In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience : master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
