• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
• 6 openings available with immediate start dates
• One-year recent nursing experience preferred
• Patient ratios may be 5-6 : 1 depending on floor assignment and patient acuity
• Required to float to any floor of the facility to care for patients within skill set based on facility need and staffing
• Weekend requirement : 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule
• Current Louisiana or COMPACT RN License required
• Current BLS via AHA required
• Current ACLS via AHA required
• Provide routine and complex patient care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• New hires receive precepting by designated trained staff and must complete organizational entry competency validation
