Duties
Administrative assistantshelp keep an office running smoothly by performing a variety of clerical and organizational tasks.Their responsibilities can include :
- Communication : Answering and directing phone calls, responding to emails, and writing and distributing correspondence
- Scheduling : Organizing and scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements
- Note-taking : Taking detailed meeting minutes and preparing meeting agendas
- Filing : Creating and maintaining filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Support : Providing general support to visitors and acting as a point of contact for clients
- Supplies : Ordering office supplies and researching new deals and suppliers
- Reports : Assisting in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports and inputting and updating information in databases and spreadsheets
- Policies : Updating and maintaining office policies and procedures
Administrative assistants should have a variety of skills to excel in their roles, including time management, computer proficiency, attention to detail, communication, organization, adaptability, problem-solving, customer service, multi-tasking, and confidentiality.
Requirements
2-Year experienced (required)
Entry-levelA high school diploma or Associate degree in the following : :
Office administration, Business administration, Communications, Information technology, Human resources management, or Event planning.Must have at least 6 month experience working with children.
